About This Course

Start your Care First Insurance journey with this six-part online course developed by the Government of Alberta. It gives general insurance brokers and agents the foundational knowledge to advise clients and guide them through claims under Care-First.

How to Start

  1. Click "Enroll for Free" - Use the button at the top of this page. It takes you to the Care-First page on our learning platform.
  2. Browse the Care-First chapters. - You'll see all of the Care-First courses. You can preview the later chapters, but you must start with Chapter 1. It's a prerequisite for enrolling in the chapters that follow.
  3. Click on Chapter 1 - When you're ready to begin, click "Preview this Course" on Chapter 1 to see its content.
  4. Click "Enroll Course" and choose "Sign Up." - You'll be asked to log in or sign up. Choose Sign Up first, because this is a separate platform from our main site, so you'll need to create a new account.
  5. Activate your account We'll email you a confirmation link. Click the activation link in that email, and you'll be logged in automatically.
  6. Enroll and start learning Once you're logged in, click "Enroll Course" again to enroll in Chapter 1 to begin your first lesson.
