Course Description

This continuing education course goes over important topics to help you better communicate about accident & sickness insurance to your clients.  Some topics we cover include:

  • What is disability insurance?
  • Types of disability insurance (ie. short term vs long term disability, long term care, critical illness, accidental death and dismemberment, options & riders, and much more)
  • Key factors and considerations when buying disability insurance
  • What are the various additional features and options that can be added to a disability policy?
  • How is the cost for the policy affected by the riders and features?


Students must pass the final exam before a certificate will be issued.
