Course Description

This course explains the features of mutual funds. The advantages, disadvantages, types, tax issues, and redemption plans are reviewed. Segregated funds are explained with reference to the guarantees, taxes, features and disclosure. Then other products are described, namely hedge funds, labor sponsored venture funds, closed ended funds, income trusts and listed private equity funds.


Students must pass the final exam before a certificate will be issued.
