It is essential for financial advisors to build their online presence and be aware of various posts those are allowed. Financial advisors must refrain from activities which can have a negative impact on their business. Various social media posts which are not allowed and allowed are provided for reference. It is allowed to recognize the milestone as a financial adviser on social media. It is essential to disclose about earnings of the company or the individual you can share certain third-party content on social media but cannot make any misleading or inaccurate claims. You must get approval for seminars and speaking engagements on social media. For investment seminars there are certain rules also those are indicated. Professional tips for Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media are provided. Our view of Canada anti-spam legislation is reviewed with examples.
